Walking through #Mykonos means encountering thousands of quaint churches—officially numbering 1,200—all adorned with bells that paint the stunning Cycladic horizon.
I’ve had the fortune of visiting Mykonos several times, but this visit was particularly special for a few reasons. Firstly, working with our teams I had the opportunity of experiencing first-hand, along with cruise guests, some of our different experiences that range from culinary and wine tasting to adventure and Selfie tours.
Second, I visited the beach for the first time. Known for its picturesque rocks and windy shores, Mykonos’s beaches are postcard-perfect. This leads to our third surprise: it wasn’t windy at all! Mykonos is famous for its iconic windmills, which, though no longer producing flour, speak to the island’s reputation as “The Island of the Winds.” Yet, yesterday, there was no wind to be found, making the visit quite unique and “warm”.
The fourth surprise was completely unexpected. Guess who we ran into? Joe Jonas! He isn’t quite from my generation, but you can imagine how excited one of our committee members was 😉 (@ Matilde Osorio.)
Overall, this visit was incredibly insightful and special, and I want to thank our partners and team members for all the effort, dedication and love you put into every days operation.
