Nurturing Leadership at Global Cruises: The Leadership Academy

Eleanor Roosevelt once said, “Good leaders inspire people to have confidence in the leader; great leaders inspire people to have confidence in themselves.” This quote perfectly reflects my vision of leadership. My goal has always been to foster this self-belief within my team, empowering them to take ownership and drive every project toward excellence.

Since leadership is a skill you never stop developing. No matter how much experience you gain or how high you climb in your career, there’s always room to grow, learn, and evolve. That’s why I’m so excited to share one of the most meaningful initiatives we have at Global Cruises: our Leadership Academy.

The Leadership Academy is a dynamic learning space filled with inspiring talks, hands-on activities, and collaborative sessions designed to empower our current and future leaders. It’s an initiative close to my heart because I believe that leadership isn’t a destination, it’s a lifelong journey. Every day, I learn from the incredible people around me, and in return, I want to pass on the lessons I’ve gathered along the way.

At Global Cruises, we believe leadership is for everyone—not just those with specific titles or positions. While some individuals may naturally exhibit leadership qualities, the key skills and traits of great leaders can be developed through learning, experience, and a commitment to self-reflection. With the right mindset and determination, anyone can lead, and this is a message I consistently share with our team.

This space gives our participants the tools they need to develop their leadership potential, no matter where they are in their careers. We focus on critical skills such as communication, decision-making, emotional intelligence, and strategic thinking, all of which help our people not only to grow professionally but also to inspire and guide others.
